This was my second go with tomatoes. This time around I: started from seed acquired a bunch of bamboo for staking staked and suckered to a single stem grew 14 plants grew two plants in grow bags for comparison purposes Tomatoes grown this season: Black Krim Riesentraube Cherokee Purple Garden Peach Sart Roloise Persimmon Black Strawberry* Orange Icicle* Blondkopfchen There were 14 plants total as some doubled to make sure I got some yield. Equipment: Bamboo poles Bird netting PVC piping Strips of cloth from old baby shirts Garden Tie tape bird netting Growing provisions: Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil Banana peels Ground up egg shells Used coffee grounds Compost (Nursery bought) Setup: I had 14 plants all spaced approximately 18-20 inches apart.
